Waterman's Restaurant

Scope: Remodel to take advantage of the view

Waterman’s is an oceanfront, freestanding
restaurant. The theme displays all types of
water sports associated with the Virginia
Beach area. Seating areas are tiered to
allow each patron a view of the Boardwalk
and ocean beyond. Smooth, finished
mahogany contrasts structures of roughsawn
beams and timbers. Fabrics depict
shells and different fish species. Lit glass
sculptures feature various local fish. The
exposed duct work is painted copper.
